About Weedon Professional Center. With initial drawings and planning initiated in 1978, Weedon Professional Center was completed in 1982 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and occupancy of its primary tenant, National Legal Research Group. The building is a design by renowned architect and University of Virginia faculty member Carlo Pelliccia and has evolved into one of Charlottesville, Va.’s premier office buildings.
The three-level structure is unusual because it features a central atrium, generous amounts of marble and a flowing waterfall inside the foyer. WPC is home to a number of noted tenants and continues to preserve its sprawling grounds.
The buildout was completed by R. E. Lee & Son and features striking Asian influences married with many traditional Virginia touches such as cherry trees and sweeping lawns.
